Welcome to our newest member – Bluegrass Pipeline
The LaRue County Chamber of Commerce welcomes new member, Bluegrass Pipeline!
The Bluegrass Pipeline is a newly proposed project that will transport natural gas liquids, or “NGLs”—commonly used to heat homes, manufacture fertilizers and make adhesives and plastics among other things—from the Marcellus and Utica shale regions of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio to the rest of the country.
Two of the nation’s leading energy companies—Williams and Boardwalk Pipeline Partners—have partnered to develop the Bluegrass Pipeline. The companies safely operate more than 40,000 miles of pipeline around the country already.
This is an exciting opportunity for Kentucky for many reasons, including new construction jobs, increased tax revenue for local communities, ability to attract new NGL dependent industries and the pride that goes with being part of securing America’s energy independence.
