Abraham Lincoln Birthplace Returns to Regular Park Hours
Starting Tuesday, September 1, 2014 the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park will return to regular park hours of 8:00am to 4:45pm at the Birthplace Unit.

Leadership LaRue Applications Available
Building Leaders with Leadership LaRue
It’s almost time for the Leadership LaRue County Class of 2014-2015 to begin.
Established in 2005, Leadership LaRue County provides educational experiences for present and future leaders to develop knowledge and foster appreciation of our community and to encourage civic involvement.
The program begins in September and is followed by monthly day sessions through May. Topics include: local history, tourism, education, economic development, health and human services, state and local government, agriculture, entrepreneurship and so much more!

2014-2015 CHAMBER BOARD OF DIRECTORS The successes of the Chamber of Commerce would not be possible without our board of directors who are tireless advocates promoting our mission as a chamber and supporting our community in countless ways. Thank you – Kenny Rambo, 2013-2014 Chamber President, for your leadership this year. STATE FAIR Summer has us gearing up to promote Hodgenville/LaRue County at the 2014 Kentucky State Fair, August 14th-24th. We are currently making plans and recruiting volunteers for our Pride of the Counties booth. This year volunteers will be given free admission to the fair and free parking and t-shirts to wear while they are promoting our great county! We are the proud Birthplace of Lincoln! We are excited to share with visitors Hodgenville’s #3 ranking by the Safe Wise Report releasing its “50 Safest Cities in Kentucky” and promote our 2014 Best in Kentucky from Kentucky Living Magazine for Paula’s Hot Biscuit, voted best non franchise restaurant, and Lincoln Days Festival, voted best annual festival (non-music). It is a great time to promote LaRue County to visitors from all over Kentucky and other places. If you would like to volunteer, please contact me at the office by August 1st.
