The new class of Leadership LaRue is underway with a great start. This month the class enjoyed a kick-off luncheon and a team building day at Elizabethtown Community & Technical College. The class will meet monthly on the second Thursday of the month. Follow their journey this year on the Chamber’s Facebook page as we share pictures and videos from their experiences.

The LaRue County Chamber of Commerce is excited to offer the following opportunities to our local students!
LEADERSHIP LARUE SCHOLARSHIP
The 2006-2007 Leadership LaRue County Class established the chamber’s first Leadership LaRue Scholarship. This $500 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from LaRue County public or private schools, or an adult wishing to begin an educational program. For more details, see the attached scholarship information. Applications are also available at the LCHS guidance counselor’s office. Deadline is April 1.
This opportunity is available for current LaRue County High School sophomores. The Youth Board Member will join the 2016-2017 Chamber Board of Directors. The Youth Board Member’s term will start on July 1, 2016 and end June 30, 2017. The Youth Board Member has the unique opportunity to experience and participate in the inner workings of the LaRue County Chamber of Commerce by attending and participating in monthly Board of Directors meetings, interacting on chamber committees, and involvement in chamber activities. The program begins in September and is followed by monthly day sessions through May. Topics include: local history, tourism, education, economic development, health and human services, state and local government, agriculture, entrepreneurship and so much more!
